This fine single malt from HYDE Whiskey was aged in vintage tawny Iberian port wine casks from a small family run Port Wine Quinta in Northern Portugal.
Tripled distilled, this single malt was firstly aged for 8 years in ex-bourbon oak casks sourced from Kentucky in the USA and was then transferred into the tawny port oak casks from Portugal, for a further 9 months of cask finishing.
This double-casking ensures a completely unique flavour and makes the long wait for this fine single malt under bond in County Cork, worth the wait.
The label accurately reflects the superior, premium nature of the product and really finishes the bottle off to perfection.
