As we approach the close of 2024, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible year for Label Tech. This year marked several milestones, achievements, and celebrations that showcase our commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
We were proud to take home two Silver and one Bronze award at the Irish Print Awards for our innovative label designs. While awards are not our primary focus, this recognition reinforces the creativity and dedication of our team in delivering outstanding results for our clients.
In April, we bid farewell to our Chairman, Dave Keogh, who retired after being with Label Tech since 2002. Dave’s steady guidance and commitment over the years have played a key role in shaping the company we are today. We wish him all the best in this new chapter of his life and extend our heartfelt gratitude for his many contributions.
In May, Label Tech officially joined the Asteria Group, entering a new chapter of growth and opportunity. Our induction at the group’s annual session in The Netherlands was a fantastic experience, offering us the chance to connect with other members and gain insights into this dynamic organisation. Six months on, we are pleased to affirm that it’s business as usual for our valued customers, with the same unwavering commitment to service and quality.
This year, we have seen growing demand for our technical expertise in complex designs and bespoke embellishments. Our Technical Team continues to provide a guiding hand to customers seeking unique, standout solutions, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. This personalised service, which is unmatched in the market, highlights our ability to go above and beyond in meeting our clients’ specific needs.
Another highlight this year was achieving an AA+ rating in the prestigious BRCGS Standard Packaging Materials Audit. This accomplishment underscores our dedication to upholding the highest standards in packaging solutions. I extend my gratitude to our hardworking team and trusted partners for making this possible. Together, we’re setting the benchmark for quality and excellence in the industry.
We are also expanding and investing in our pre-press software to enhance our capabilities further. This investment will allow us to deliver even greater precision and efficiency in our label printing, reinforcing our commitment to continuous improvement and staying at the forefront of innovation.
Our ties with the Irish Whiskey industry were strengthened through our sponsorship of the Irish Whiskey Association Chairman’s Awards 2024. It was great to meet so many of our customers and celebrate their success. Supporting such a vibrant and growing industry aligns perfectly with our values and commitment to our customers.
Sustainability continues to be a cornerstone of our mission at Label Tech. As the industry evolves to embrace circularity and reduce its environmental impact, we are proud to contribute through innovative labelling solutions that support packaging recyclability and minimise carbon footprints. We remain committed to helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals while leading by example.
Looking to 2025, the self-adhesive label market is expected to remain dynamic and competitive, with sustainability and innovation driving its evolution. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and will continue to adapt and grow to meet the demands of this ever-changing industry.
