With the end of 2022 almost upon us I thought I’d reach out and thank you for your custom during another challenging year for Irish Business. We have weathered the past few years because of your continued support and I couldn’t end the year without acknowledging and thanking you for that.
Looking back, the lifting of Covid restrictions brought a positive start to the year and a return to normal life. While businesses began to recover, the global supply chain struggled to follow, leading to material shortages along with increases to energy and fuel costs, posing a fresh set of challenges within the print industry.
These challenges required us to adapt our business model, to ensure continuity of supply to our customers. I really must mention the team at Label Tech here for it was their resourcefulness, tenacity and creativity that helped us achieve another successful year despite the obstacles that faced us. And while the supply chain has yet to fully recover, we will head into 2023 with a renewed sense of purpose. The past few years have highlighted how resourceful and adaptable Irish businesses really are and we plan to follow suit.
In an ever-changing market where diversity and innovation drive constant change, we welcomed the installation of our second Evolution Flexo press. To consolidate our digital dominance in the market, we are thrilled to be taking delivery of the next generation digital press in January, the HP Indigo 6K, the first of its kind in Ireland. Both acquisitions will have a positive impact on our production efficiencies and lead times.
September marked Label Tech’s 30 years in business, hard to believe it has been that long. It’s a pleasure to look back and see how far we’ve come and how we have evolved. Our commitment to people and technology has stood the test of time and is still relevant today. Some of our staff have been with us since day one and it’s their knowledge and skill that we draw upon to produce such high end product for our customers. Our future definitely lies in both technology and people, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
