Listoke 1777 Gin – A Life Well Lived, A Gin Well Loved
Label Tech are delighted to have worked with the team at the Listoke Distillery over the past months to create a label that perfectly captures the unique properties of their new Listoke 1777 Gin. This collaboration has resulted in an outstanding win for the premium label at the Irish Print Awards 2016. In her own words, Bronagh Conlon, Managing Director has expanded, ‘Our taste comes from a unique combination of inspiring botanicals growing in the Edwardian walled gardens at Listoke estate in Co. Louth. We’ve settled upon a recipe that we hope both gin aficionados and newcomers to the wonderful world of gin will enjoy. There have always been beguiling barn owls in the stable building at Listoke, which is now the distillery and it is in homage to these owls that we have wrapped one around our bottle of Listoke 1777 gin. Our recommended serve – is a glass full of ice, a fresh twist of orange, and premium tonic and a toast to life. Already available in many bars and restaurants around the north East and Dublin, Listoke 1777 is destined for the shores of New York early next year. To stand in front of customers and hear the response to our branding is a tonic, without the gin! Our labels are very specific and we have achieved great success in their printing through the work of Label Tech. Working with Maurice Dunne from the onset, we were able to trial and test various options before achieving a perfect finish on both the owl swooping in from behind and the black inside and outside foiled and embossed front label. It was working with Label Tech that enabled us to achieve our premium label, it was and is a pleasure to do business with them!

Label Tech and Merry’s have been working together throughout 2016 on an ever-expanding product and label portfolio. Together we have developed a new label substrate to allow for re-positioning and enabling the product to achieve as near perfect a finish as possible. We have also worked together on a new UV varnish finish for our labels that reduce scuffs and scratches during transportation and warehousing. ‘Label Tech have a been a pleasure to work with over the past year, whilst developing many new labels for our Irish Cream and Whiskey brands. The Whistler Whiskey label was quite a complex label to get right and with the help of David Lambert we achieved a beautiful Irish Whiskey label which has been very well received in the marketplace.
